Skimmer Nets
Skimmer nets quickly remove leaves and other floating debris from the surface of the pool water before it can sink to the bottom of the pool.
Skimmer nets are the most common type of pool cleaning equipment that can be seen around the pool area. There are two basic types of skimmer nets; the skim net and the leaf rake. The skim net is the popular flat mesh net that attaches to a telescoping pole for quickly removing things such as leaves and insects. The leaf rake was designed more specifically to remove leaves from not only the surface of the water, but also leaves that have collected on the floor of the swimming pool. Rather than being flat like a skim net, leaf rakes consist of a deep mesh pocket for easier scooping. Skimmer nets and leaf rakes should be used daily, if not several times a day depending on what has fallen into the pool water.
