Pool Safety
Pool Safety Every year, there are tens of thousands of accidents in and around swimming pools, causing people to become injured and too often - drown. Half of the pool fatalities occur in the yards of single-family homes. Most of the injuries and fatalities could have been prevented with swimming pool safety measures taken at all times. If you own a swimming pool, be a responsible pool owner. We, at pool-mall.com, have put together some basic guidelines for pool owners to follow. As a swimming pool owner, you are accountable for the safety of others in and around your pool. We have also created a checklist of pool safety equipment for preventing accidents and pool rescue equipment to consider purchasing and keeping at-hand in the unfortunate case of an emergency. Please read our guidelines carefully, but remember that our safety guidelines are just that – guidelines. For more comprehensive safety information, you should refer to any and all information that comes with the purchase of your swimming pool and pool equipment or chemicals, homeowner’s insurance policy pool safety information, as well as any local pool safety seminars or classes given by some towns. Some local governments have pool safety requirements for their own jurisdiction, so before installing your pool, it would be a good idea to go to your local town office and find out about any swimming pool safety codes or requirements.
