Solar Pool Covers/Blankets

A solar pool cover can also be called a solar pool blanket and is a specially-designed pool cover that absorbs the solar energy from the sun a producing heat to warm the pool water. Float on the surface of the pool water capturing the solar energy from the sun.  The top of the solar pool cover is smooth, the underside resembles bubble wrap, and these bubbles absorb the heat from the sun, transferring it to the water, raising the water temperature 10 to 15 degrees.

Solar pool covers protect your pool water, raise or maintain the pool water temperature and are an excellent accessory to extend the time you can use your pool in the areas with a shorter pool season.  Many pool owners who choose to heat their pool water with a pool heater select a solar pool cover to reduce energy costs.  In addition to producing heat from the sun’s energy, solar pool covers do what many pool covers do by eliminating some debris from entering your pool, which in turn reduces the wear and tear on your pool and pool parts, as well as on your filter.  There are a variety of solar pool covers on the market today, as well as many options for manual and automatic reels to make it easier to cover and uncover your pool water. Solar covers/blankets must always be removed from the water before swimmers enter the pool.
