Gas Pool Heaters

Gas pool heaters heat pool water with the use of either propane or natural gas.  A pump is used to circulate the heated water through a filter and through to the heater.

Gas pool heaters are the most commonly sold type of pool heater available.  Most consumers choose to purchase a gas pool heater because they want to rapidly heat their pool, spa or hot tub water for a short period of time and maintain a constant set water temperature regardless of the air temperature surrounding the pool, spa or hot tub.  Gas pool heaters have these benefits, but can be the least efficient to operate – especially depending on where you swimming pool, spa or hot tub is located.  Therefore, people who just want to heat their pool water to no more than a comfortable 80 degrees usually choose to purchase a solar pool heater because of its efficiency and earth-friendly operation.  Some pool, spa or hut tub owners like to have the efficiency and low cost of running a solar pool heater, while still having the option to rapidly heat their pool, spa or hot tub water when needed.  These people have creatively come up with a solution and have a hybrid pool heater, where they can use either or, depending on their day-to-day situation.
