Swimming Pool Benches and Shelves

Swimming pool benches and shelves are fixed units that can be added on or pre-installed to a swimming pool, spa or surrounding deck for people to rest on or objects to be stored.

Many swimming pool or spa owners choose to add comfort to a pool or spa with benches built into the deck area, grottos, around the pool and sometimes under a waterfall area.  The various options for pool decks and shelves on the market today are seemingly endless.  Some units can be purchased at a pool supply center, others can be custom created by a pool design professional.  Benches and shelves built into the deck area as an added feature will not consume pool space. Tanning shelves sometimes called swim outs, jut out over the pool and can be large enough to place chairs or loungers.  Tanning shelves are typically flat and may have stairs to take you out to a deeper area.
