Swimming Pool Filters
Swimming pool filters are designed to keep your pool fresh and clean by removing dirt, grease and oils from your pool water. There are three main types of swimming pool filters that most pool owners purchase to clean their pools (Sand Filters, Cartridge Filters, and DE Filters).
Swimming pool filters cannot filter algae, bacteria or minerals from your pool water but are still a fundamental part of the hydraulics system. Prior to purchasing a pool filter, a pool owner typically selects a pool pump. There are many different sizes and types of pool filters and pumps. Today's pool pump designs offer greater energy cost and efficiency to the pool owner. After selecting a pool pump, selection of the pool filter can be made. A pool filter selection should also be based on the amount and type of sediment that enters the swimming pool.
