Pool Chemicals

Pool chemicals are the agents added to a swimming pool’s water to keep it clean, safe, healthy and balanced.

A vital step in pool responsibility to sanitize, kill bacteria and algae.  Chlorine and Bromide are the most commonly used pool chemicals that can be used to perform this task.   There are also specific pool chemicals available to pool owners for specific types of swimming pool problems.  All pool chemicals should be stored safely and out of reach of children and animals.  All pool chemicals come with instructions that should be followed strictly.  Caution should be taken when using any and all pool chemicals – if directions are not followed and pool chemicals are misused, accidents can occur.
