Suction Pool Cleaners

Suction pool cleaners are a type of automatic pool cleaner thatis hooked up to function as a skimmer working in conjunction with the pool’s own pumping and filtration system.

Suction pool cleaners have a hose that attaches to a suction port of the swimming the pool such as the skimmer or a separate vacuum port. Once the suctions pool cleaner’s hose is attached to the plumbing, the filter pump is run creating suction on the under the cleaner. Suction cleaners move around a swimming randomly.  The way suction pool cleaners clean the swimming pool is by sucking debris up through the hose and into the pool’s filter strainer basket.  Smaller debris will pass through the filter.  Suction pool cleaners have been around for a longer time, and are generally less expensive compared to electric/robot cleaners.  Common brand names of suction pool cleaners include Zippy, Hayward PoolVac, Aquabug, Baracuda Ranger, Navigator, Kreepy Krauly, Polaris 150, and E-Z Vac.
