Pool Safety Alarms

Pool alarms are an additional safety feature that alert parents and/or pool owners of people or pets entering a swimming pool or pool area.

With the increase in swimming pools found nationally, there is also an increase of pool-related deaths and injury.  Therefore, there are many types of pool alarms on the market today that can alert people if someone has entered the pool area or the swimming pool itself.  Gate alarms can be installed on he gateway to the pool area, letting people know that the gate has been opened and someone is about to enter the pool area.  Gate alarms are battery powered for outdoor use, and are relatively inexpensive and easy to install.  Door alarms can be installed to a doorway that is part of the pool’s perimeter and sends a high-pitched alert when someone has opened that door.  Another benefit is that door alarms can also alert homeowners of an intruder.  Perimeter alarms re installed around a pool’s perimeter and send an alert when the infra read or laser is broken.  Wrist alarms are becoming more popular as they can be placed on a child’s wrist and can work anywhere that water is present (at the beach, in a boat, at a friend’s home with a pool).  Wave sensor alarms can be installed to the side of the pool and sense water displacement when an object heavier than 15 pounds enters the pool water.
